I love Hero Hot pot not just because of how affordable it is but because they offer a wide variety of things. I love getting all the cuts of meat except the pork loin but the pork belly is my absolute favorite. On a weekday lunch it's $18.99 per person on a weekend it is around $22 but it is very worth it if you are looking for a cheap delicious meal to share with friends, especially since it is all you can eat. The vibe is amazing and the servers are fast and likable. I've gone twice, once with my boyfriend and again during FanX week so it was a great place to socialize and enjoy a sit down meal with those you love

It's really hard to find a good authentic hot pot anywhere I go. I was visiting Salt Lake City this past weekend and came across China Town Market. There are plenty of little tea inside the market but this one stood out to me because no one was in there and I just wanted a quiet lunch. I got sat immediately and was presented with an iPad and was shown how their menu and ordering system works. Lunch is $15 a person and dinner (all day on Saturdays and Sundays) was $25 a person. Which isn't bad because it is all you can eat. We ordered two different types of broth. I got tum yum base and my mom got the beef tallow spicy and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Both of these were authentic and delicious. We picked quite a few different meet options, some mushrooms, vegetables, and what not. Service was on point and the restaurant was very clean. When in it Salt Lake City again, I will most definitely be coming back here.

We decided to come here for an early dinner while we were at the Chinatown Market. The place had most of the tables seated, but we were able to get a four-top. The hotpot is in the center and you can choose what broth you want and have it divided into two, which is what we did. There is quite an array of ingredients available. The handmade noodles were so good. You order on the pad and they bring everything to you pretty quickly. Somehow one of our orders came out twice, and we were getting pretty full. There is also an area for you to mix your dipping sauces, which I appreciated. There is a sign on the wall above it with suggestions. Up at the counter, you can find some plastic bibs to protect your clothing. They came in handy! This was a first time for my BIL and SIL that joined us and they loved it too! Totally recommend this place!

This is one of the best hot pot places I'd tried . Clean place , fresh ingredients , flavorful broth , very attentive staff and the price for all you can eat is a steal. Definitely will be coming back here when I'll be in Salt Lake City again .

This place is definitely our go-to Hotpot spot! $18 for AYCE hotpot during weekday lunches! We come here for quantity, and not quality, though we have never been disappointed by the quality of anything. The service is always great, and we miss seeing Yuki around! The ambiance is lively, and this restaurant is ALWAYS busy!

I'm dropping my previous 5* rating to a 4* one. Since experiencing even more hot pot places I found Hero Hotpot to be a bit lacking in some areas and had to bring them down a notch. The good: Hero Hotpot has a fantastic meat selection. I do think their meats tend to be better than the other joints I frequent. The bad: their sauce bar is actually kind of small and very limited in terms of flavor combos. It's also not very well organized. They had some metal label plaques but people don't always put things back where they should go so the signs weren't accurate. They also had run out of quite a few of the toppings making the selection even slimmer. Their food selection was decent (loved the hand pulled noodles) but they didn't have any dumplings, their fish tofu was under the paid menu (not something I've seen before, it's not really a special delicacy item, in my opinion), and none of the desserts were included in the AYCE menu. Overall I think they're fine and I wouldn't mind visiting again, especially for their pork belly, but I'm ready to try other hot pot spots in the SLC area.

I've eaten here several times and have had great experiences every time. There is such a large variety of foods to eat in your hot pot and they have a lot of broth options. Everything is ordered via iPad and brought to your table. There is a dipping sauce station w lots of condiments to create your own sauce. It's a smaller restaurant but cozy and comfortable. Customer service is excellent. It's ayce. You should try this place.

I'd had shabu shabu before but not hot pot. That winter-just-starting feeling meant I became obsessed with hot soupy spicy noodles all of a sudden. This place is small and located in a mall, but boy is it cozy!!!! I liked that my friend and I could share a big pot with two flavors. We got a quick and thorough orientation and started putting ingredients on our list through the iPad. So easy!! Then the freshest food came out. We only had to leave our table once to get sauces. The flavor of the spicy broth was out of this world!! The staff were friendly and helpful as well. I think I'll be back here a lot this winter, just be sure to come at least 45 minutes before closing, because I learned on my second visit that they WILL turn you away.

Friend came into town and wanted to go to hotpot. After a little searching we decided to head down to Hero Hot Pot in the Chinatown market area. The restaurant is a bit on the small side but you can put your cell on the waitlist and browse the market while you wait. Just be sure to not venture too far as you only have 5 min to get back to the restaurant (per the text message they send, didn't want to test it). The restaurant is nice and open with good lighting. With everyone talking in a large open area it can be a little on the loud side. Once seated you order which type of broth you want. There are many flavor options and spice levels. They have also have the ability to do single flavor, two flavors, or multiple flavors in a grid system. Definitely good options for those who are indecisive. The iPad menu is broken down into meats, veggies, and special options. Most meats and veggies are included but specials have a little extra cost. All the meats are thinly sliced and have great flavor. Tips: -Parking lot for Chinatown market is small and tight spaces. It fills up quick on weekends. -Try two different broths and add veggies into it for extra flavor. -Head over to the sauce bar and mix up something unique or follow the recipes posted on the wall above it.

The place was nice, the ambiance was nice and calm, and people were friendly. Their sauce bar is way better that most places, and the meat was amazing as as well. Believe it or not, the best thing of the afternoon was the service that Baio provided. Their service was quick, and even though they had some technical difficulties with the orders the service checked personally to make sure that the orders were accurate and the meat kept coming. I really appreciated the service and will definitely be back.
